UK
Product
Designed, developed, manufactured and patented in the UK the G-Volution
Optimiser is award winning multi fuelling technology (Shell Springboard)
which will facilitate the roll out of future “green” multi fuelling
solutions for the HGV sector.
The G-Volution Optimiser is a unique system that allows a HGV engine to
operate on a mixture of two (or more) fuels rather than one. The two (or
more) fuels are combusted simultaneously, rather than one at a time. |
Future Fuels
The G-volution
Optimiser offers forward thinking transport companies a simple, bolt-on
solution (requiring no engine alteration or conversion), a solution that
delivers significant fuel cost reductions and emission reductions, both
now and in the future.
The primary fuel is the original diesel fuel and the secondary fuel
(currently) is Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG). As the fuel market
develops the G-Volution Optimiser will be the ready, proven path to
market for available alternative secondary fuels such as: CNG, CBG, LNG,
Bio-ethanol, Bio-butanol, Methanol, Hydrogen. |

Costs
and Emissions
As
the long term demand for road transport increases, Transport Operators
are facing increasing operating cost and environmental pressures as the
long term cost of oil rises and regulatory agenda’s look towards
lowering harmful emissions.
G-Volution offers a unique and proven approach to assisting Transport
Operators to both lower their
running costs and meet the demands of reducing carbon emissions.
The average net fuel cost saving actually achieved can be in excess
of 15%. |
Carbon
reduction commitment (CRC)
The forthcoming introduction of the UK Government’s Carbon Reduction
Commitment (CRC) will affect thousands of large organisations. The CRC
scheme will require organisations to reduce (or pay for) carbon dioxide
emissions.
Although LPG is still a fossil fuel it has a lower Carbon content that
diesel. This produces a carbon dioxide saving of approximately 5-6 % at
the current average substitution ratios.
The G-Volution Optimiser has been accepted into the Carbon Trust
incubator scheme on this
basis and its future ability to deliver “greener” multi fuel solutions,
fast, into the HGV sector. |
